Our hike began from the Malyovitsa hotel. We started the hike by going into the thick and centuries old forests of Rila. While in the forests, amongst the tall trees, I realized something - when I'm in the forest, I'm home. Deep into the woods I feel amazing, I feel free and happy.

En route to the Malyovitsa hut we crossed a tiny mountain river and soak in the most amazing views of the mountains around us. While hiking we ran into a herd of wild horses which was a spectacular view.
In the midst of summer Rila is filled with life and everything is so green.

After the hike, we came back at the hotel to rewind and relax. While the rest of my group were in the spa, I spent my afternoon hours sitting on the porch and observing the nature around me. I stayed there for hours, watching the sun setting and the final light fading away. It was one of the most beautiful and memorable moments of my summer.
When nature gives you all of these beautiful views, how not to love it and not want to protect it?
